Vondelpark Fountain

AMSTERDAM

Right near the entrance to Amsterdam’s Vondelpark, this tall and luxurious fountain is well-used by joggers, cyclists, pot-smokers, kids, and all sorts of varienties of water-lovers. The lovely gold duck-head spigots give a generous gushing flow, and the troughs hold water for passing animals and birds. This is just the sort of public art, graceful drinking fountain design that Europe excells at and America can’t seem to get on board with.

  1. This is so fantastic. I can't wait to see your next fountain. Will it be in Europe? Or SF? One never knows...
