NEW YORK CITY
I've just found out about an amazingly cool project in Manhattan by Pilot Projects: a competition to select 100 unique drinking fountain designs to be installed all over the city. They're still working on getting permitting, but in the meantime, they did this awesome "Respect the Fountain" installation: (I've watched this video over and over.)
I spoke with the founder of Pilot Projects, Scott Francisco, and it was so much fun to talk to someone who is as excited about drinking fountains as I am! That was a first, for sure. I hope the 100 Fountains competition gets off the ground soon--that's going to be an incredible urban benefit for New York City.
