This simple drinking fountain style is all over Amsterdam. The premise is basic: just a continuous stream of water that shoots up into the air and falls back into its own basin. It doesn't always work so well, as you can see by the puddles of water surrounding the base-- gusts of wind spray water everywhere. But the no-frills design is ubiquitous throughout the city, and when it comes to drinking fountains, I vote for quantity!
