QUEEN ANNE HILL
SEATTLE, WASHINGTON
This drinking fountain on the overlook at Queen Anne Hill is very simple, but someone gave it the best seat in the house. Drinking fountains are usually shoved into back corners near bathrooms, but somehow, this one wrangled a prime position right in the middle of this lovely park. Perhaps the fact that visitors have had to huff up a giant hill to get here gave this drinking fountain an edge. Whatever the reason, the simple green form echos the surrounding trees, and the metal disk almost recalls the shape of the top of the space needle, seen in the distance.
